i want to be grunge

this is my first try at a grunge image, just wondering if any of you guys have any tips because i really dont have a clue what im doing ;)

What image. Hey! You're psychic! That's definately grungy, but it's not the trendy grunge eveybody else loves. I don't care for it that much, I did make a somewhat grungie image for a school project, maybe it will give you some ideas.

its actually like 3 text layers with color dodges and overlays and stuff, i kinda forgot
