My Site

Hey guys,
havent posted in a long time, well i have been working on my site for a little while now. I already have the interface for my home page and i am working on the interface for the other pages, and i am stuck because i dont know what to do. Give me some suggestions. Here is what i have come up with so far

My suggestion. Shrink the graphics. The first link is so wide, that I get a horizontal scrollbar even at 1024x768. Thats a no-no in website creation.

The 2nd link is also too wide & too big. Its a bandwidth killer with the huge pics in it.

I suggest making a smaller version of the 1st link, and create it in an 800x600 or smaller photoshop document size so that it won't get too big. 760 pixels should be as wide as your graphics should get.

The 1st interface you made doesn't suffer from those problems like your new one does.

I like the renders, just be aware of page size when creating a site.

I like your choice in colors.

Sorry but try to come with something new.

We all have seen the 3d meshed teapots, sphere's, whatever.
It think its not cool, the thing at the right op is just a standard image from 3d max which you only needed to resize and slap a color on it.

Come with something new, the whole trendwhore thing or wannabe's isnt cool anymore imho.


The pictures are quiet nice though, i just dont like the site.

Considering his last post looked 300 times more amaturish than that, it's a definate improvement.

I don't think that either one of them is very good for a layout judging by the way you have it presented. you should rethink how your content is going to flow in that design. putting it in 1px stroke boxes isnt good enough. Infact. Don't do that at all. It looks really bad.

Your skills have improved. whether you followed a tutorial to get that or just dumped some crap on a 3dsmax canvas and distorted it.

Definatly shrink the size of it down a bit. The height and width is a little large. but if you specifically target resolutions larger than 124x768, I dont call it amaturish if you have scrollbars at that res. Do what you want, just have you audience in mind all the time.

As for the "trendwhore" comment. There is no specific "trendwhore" style. Trendwhore is the act of a designer following the trends in design and not having his/her own style. people constantly make this error in calling one specific style "trendwhore". It's almost annoying.

Mwhahah and guess how things get defined? People just use in a specific way alot. Thats why slang is annoying in general because if people are generally using it in that way than well, you can't really say its 'wrong' because its just slang.

I know about the size an the hoizontal scroll bar. NOTE: It is only a .jpg it aint been sliced or put into HTML so there is no scroll bar.
And i use Cinema 4D for most of my graphics, not studio max. Only for that first homepage interface. Thnx Axiom :D

its not very trendwhoreish, just the arrows (key factor as to trendwhoring, which isn't really anything bad)

i like the 2nd one with the first layout, but get rid of jaggies.
