hey I've designed some backgrounds for my site which is to do with Kate Winslet (quite sad, i know) Please go over to this site and have a look at them, i've just put them all on one page. the first picture is stretched a bit for some reason so please just use your imagination. i just want to know, what i'm doing wrong, and what i could improve. (bare in mind that i mean i'm only 15) lol. thanx for any suggestions http://www.wahajcs.home.dk3.com |

well as a fellow 15 year old i would have it's a pretty good start. I like the 3rd one, but you might want to improve the quality on a few. Also if they are wallpapers they don't fill up the "wall". n e way i like them, good work:D |

thanx, i also most like the 3d one. they aren't actually wallpapers, they appear on the background pages of my site, because the window size of the site is to be 700x500. anyways, thanx for the advice |

well i doubt i helped you very much but thats because i cant see much that can be improved besides quality. btw are you going to use all the on different pages for different backgrounds, if so this could become frustrating to 56k users who will have to dowload a new image every time they go to a new page. If this is the case i suggest to just stick with just the one good quality image on that will apear on every page. As for the rest of them just put them in a gallery for visitors view when they like. oh and let me know when the sites up man. Just a suggestion.:D |

ya, it will take some time for them to download it. well, at the moment the site is just for my school ICT coursework, so when the examiner will mark it, it will be on the computer, not on a web-site, therefore fast loading. but I will put it online, and the speed obviously I'll have to consider. which picture did you say about the quality, do u want me to make it sharper.....or something else? |

it was just the first one that looked as though it had been saved in a low quality, maybe the image you used was not that good to begin with. It just has a lot of jaggy edges in there like the text and around her face, I would NOT suggest sharpening it as this will make it look worse. But I guess if your using them for backgrounds quality is not that important as it is not the main focus of the page. Well i didn't know that the site would be viewed with the contents on the hard drive so it will be sweet having more that one background. once again, nice work my friend:D |
