I like everything in the first one except for the 2nd color in the gradient. Dunno why, but it looks like it should be going to a solid white and not an off white.

Wow, i have no damn clue what the first one is but i definatly like it.

The 2nd one has its own sorta of special charm. For some reason i really like how the image 'flows' if that makes any sense.

Not to crazy about the font you used however, but overall a good choice of color and effects on both images.
