this is one i did for a flower shop here in Austin, dont call them though cause this is an old add and they changed the number.lol

well thats the extent of my PS and art showcase at the moment. let me know if im on the right track or if they stink lol.

i can't say much about them until you give us some background information for your pictures.
So far they look like Photoshop exercises in using different modes for layers, drawing tools etc.
Austin advertising lacks of compositional variety . Bernard Mode-like font that u used in it is overused and out of date , my suggestion is to look for more original font in the web or try to create your own.

yeah there not too exciting, like i said im just starting to try and make some original stuff/art. funny you say they look like tutorials, haha. pretty much what they are, just with my pics. lol i feel like the new kid who dont know anything. yall all got cool art to show and im like....heres a flower hahah.

not much more info i can give on the pics, there what they say. the flower ones an Ad that got put in i think a green sheets type newspaper for the shop. the breakdancing one got embroidered on some jackes that they wear when they do shows.

i forgot to add this one, its one for a website. prolly the most exciting one(thats not saying too much though)

You should post this kind of stuff in the graphic check forum. Art showcase should be more for actual peices rather than experimental work that you are still asking questions. You dont need to ask questions if you are posting in the "art showcase" because you have it the way you want it already. Not to be totally mean but your work to me just doesnt seem strong. It's good practice...but most good art and work takes more than an hour. Maybe a couple days, weeks, maybe months - a year or more for some people. It means so much more when you made what you wanted to than when you "made something cool" with filters, just by messing around. Experiment more, find some tutorials, expand on what you've learned.

thanks for all the comments, yeah i didnt put them in the art check one cause well, not much i can do about these. they already done and gone. but ill be sure to post the ones im starting to do in the Check one. one thing i know i lack is a distinct style. but practice makes perfect as they say. it better at least, cause im gonna be practicing like mad lol. thanks again for all the comments and observations.
