This portrait is of my friend and his fiancee. I've been working on it for a few hours and am reaching that stage where it's beginning to rub me the wrong way. I'd appreciate any feedback so I can finish it.

Id say overall its a very very good start. You have the proportions down, and the hair looks fantastic, especially on the girl. Of course, it looks like it was drawn, which it was...and ive found that more extreme shading and lighting makes things look more realistic. Of course we know shading and lighting are what make depth, but normally you have to add more than you would think to make something look real. Shade and light the areas more and you'll have one heck of a picture on your hands there.

Couldn't agree with you more. It's always hard for me to add contrast when I do these. I'll experiment around and see what I come up with.

I would say that Will's face is maybe a little too narrow. Although I like the shading and everything else :D

Maybe the colour is a bit light (of their skin)
