first attempt at space

I was fooling around with planets and starfields so I put everything together and what do you think of it?

The sun's colors seem too yellowish. It should have more white. The planet's shading pretty good, but it looks like you used a low-res texture to render it.
I like how you took the time to erase parts of the stars, but they have no depth. You only have one layer of stars--I'd recommend you add some more. Duplicate the layer, increase the size 150% and decrease the opacity of the original layer. Maybe even blur it and move it around.
