Site critique Forum critique Please

A customer of mine asked me to post asking opinions of his new design of his site and forum.

He is some 14 year old anime lover so take it easy on him...
S what do you think about his design?

the main page seems a bit crammed/crowded, probably due to small margins: 1. between the text and box borders; 2. between the two columns of boxes

i'm also a bit confused by the 2 navigation bars.

otherwise the layout is quite organized and basic, which seems to be the right choice in your situation. simplicity is the way to go when you have lots of categories, and different types of content to unify under one style, (could just be personal preference of course).

it looks good but it's a little crammed up dont ya think? i think u should use some grafix or something to make the titles stand out more.
