After lending out my camera for a while it was really nice to finally have it back. This weekend I took some photos with it again, on saturday I went to a gig of a friend... afterwards I took some nightshots, same goes for sunday. You can find the photos here: www.visualjoy.com/20/ Comments or critique please! |

i like PICT2020.jpg, the one with the bridge/railway overpass, it's very clean and the bits of green and orange add some colour. it's great. the weird edit is nice, more of a graphic element than a photo, i could see it on a poster. not sure about the huge chunk of water you left at the bottom though. i think black and white's great, but concert photos are concert photos.. maybe some experimentation with the band members portraits, or focussing in on parts of the equipment/wires that look interesting. p.s. i'm not a fan of the slides changing every 10 seconds =P if i wanted a good look it'd take longer than 10 sec and if i was breezing through, i'd simply click on the thumbnails myself |

Thanks all for the comments, yeah... I know about the concert photography... they definitely aren't my best, but to be honest... this band was pretty quiet on stage too. They weren't jumping around or anything. The lighting was really crappy too... thats why I chose black and white. I took some more photos today. I've spent the night in some little town in the south of holland, near a river called: the "waal". That's where the following photos where shot. http://www.visualjoy.com/20/images/PICT2060.jpg http://www.visualjoy.com/20/images/PICT2061.jpg http://www.visualjoy.com/20/images/PICT2062.jpg http://www.visualjoy.com/20/images/PICT2068.jpg http://www.visualjoy.com/20/images/PICT2072.jpg Some more input is greatly appreciated. Oh, and about the 10 seconds delay... yeah, I find it irritating too... I didn't create the script, its the automated web gallery from photoshop. I'm sure I could change it, but I didn't put any time in sifting through the code yet... some day! some day. |

I like the footsteps ..and the road - what's that purplish doo doo there? chromatic aberation from the lens or leftovers from the editing? when it's that bleak outside I like to overexpose the pics a bit - help make for more cheery environments might wanna try it... |
