my first submission

ive been looking for a photoshop based forum to learn as much as i can and also show what im doing and what stage im at..

i work with a car forum and consequently make a vast amount of sigs and wallpapers for members their..hence this picture here..

its enormous fun making car PS's for people..but like to do my own thing as well..but,yeah..its still amateur early stages lol

Man I really like that first one for sure. Its pretty damn sick. Werd up.

the colour choices for the second one are pretty interesting, the combination of subtler tones with the purple/magenta in the back is nicely done. but i'm not so sure about the lens flare - i just don't know if it makes sense where it's being used, as well, it's a filter commonly used by beginners. i guess without the flare, you're lacking a focal point - it would seem that the eye is supposed to do be doing that job, but it's lacking contrast/interest. one more thing, is the text "heaven and earth" necessary?

summary: nice job on the colour, just get the components of the page working to help bring them out

cheers for the comments..and fair play id say on all counts..
the text,like you say,isnt actually doing anything constructive..
i think i just went thru a few days of subjecting several pieces to "tagged" titles,but now see it detracts rather than adds any meaning or dimension to the piece.
the flare was indeed intended as some form of focal element,but again,it has detracted from the eye itself as being a little overbearing.

your def correct in assuming im very much an amateur at this..
thats why ive been making a vast amount of work to slowly but surely improve and see how things work together..
i have used and sometimes overused,many techniques in pieces purely just to reflect on the outcome and way the influence certain moods and effects..

sorry if it sounded that way, but i wasn't trying to say that you were an amateur, just that unnecessary use of the lens flare filter is usually pegged as "amateur" and if you want to move away from that, then you could try some other solutions =)

no honestly thats fine..it helps when someones a bit brutally honest with you..it helps so much .i coudnt agreee more about the lens flare use lol.
