I'd encourage you to try out blending modes, and try to abstain from the use of filters. It's hard to make something really original when you're using them. Also, this one's a little too... Well, I get eh minimalist thing, but there needs to be a reeeeally cool effect to keep the viewer interested, and I'm not quite sure you're there yet. Keep at it though, and you'll be there soon. |

i think your newest one is a big improvement in terms of wallpaper-ness. the text elements on the older ones appear harsh and choppy, and are the words even necessary? in general, i'm just not a fan of large text on my desktop anyway. since the new one is essentially a shape plunked down in the center of a rectangular space, i think you could try experimenting with scale and positioning in terms of asymmetrical vs. symmetrical balance. |
