Can't get it to load entirely, but what I saw (just the face) looks cool.

Now here's where the rubber meets the road:

Did you draw that, or just add some graphical elements to the layout. If you did draw it, then let me say, well freakin' done. If not, however, I think that this may be a good time to tell you that it's about time that you did some fully personal pieces, that don't contain any elements of other artists' work in them.

Sure it's fun to do some of those other manips, with anime screenshots in them, and also to show your appreciation for something that you think is an interesting work, but when it comes down to it, originality is what wins out in the end.

That's just my 2 cents, but I think we'd all like to see something fully original.

If this is, however, then show us more! The drawing's awesome.

IF you drew it, great work, if not... I would really have to see the original to give you a "Great Work" ;)

Original Image

K, I'm feeling very, very **** right now =D

I did not draw that character, I'm atm busy with getting my anatomy right, practicing with tutorials. My traditional drawing skills aren't that good ofcourse, specially not the colouring.

It took me some work to get the pic blended in as it is right now, lots of brushing, erasing, if you take a close look at the hand you'll notice a spikey thing has been added. The rest was just brushing, erasing, brushing.. etc. Hope you still like it

DON'T LEARN TO DRAW WITH ONLINE TUTORIALS.

Seriously, they're not the way to do it.Lemme suggest, however some books that you ought to buy, that I think will greatly improve your skills, as far as illustration goes:

How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way Steve Buscema, and Stan Lee
How To Draw Comic Book Heroes Christopher Hart

Chris Hart has become something of a sellout in recent years, making 'how to draw books' just for the hell of it. The kind that contain no new information, a few new illustrations, and serve really as just a way to repackage the same material in a shiny new box, just to make a few more dollars. He does however now have an extensive 'how to' series on manga and anime. I'd suggest, however, getting his american style ones because, let's face it, Anime isn't hard to draw, once you know the basics. Besides, it's better to come up with your own style anyway. And you'll find that if you force yourself to adhere to a style that does not come naturally to you, such as anime, then you'll really stunt your growth as an illustrator.

But really, in my experience, the best way to learn how to draw is to practice nonstop, redraw things you see around you, and read books. There's just something about the tangible pages that kind of helps you absorb it better.

Actually, I think it's because you have to put work into reading words than to watch a video or to have it read out to you. The work you put in comes out in your abilities.
