It's looking good so far... the painted cow is well done and I really like the reflexion of the cow in the TV's and how they're set in the sand. I don't have many suggestions, because I don' know where you want to go with it, but keep it up! btw, I REALLY like the new picture on your website and the gradient, it's sweet!! |

the marks on the sand look good. I think a little more "shift" in the sand would be nice - from when the cow sat down. How about breaking one of the TV screens? They're too "mutliplied" now. I think it's turning out great. Did you make it at a print worthy resolution? I think it might make a nice card or calendar bg. |

LOL... looks really good rodder I love it! I really like where it is going, but I know what you mean about it being a little "bottom heavy" maybe throw something up in the sky or something to even things out. Looks good though man :D |

bigger update. - new clouds, plus sky colored with purple/blues/grays - cow "cleaned up" (fringe, blurry edges, etc) - BIG sand transplant - worked on the tv's (broke one screen, but not sure if I like it) - some other stuff (lol) http://www.shiftstate.com/Projects/team/portraitstereo_wip6.jpg edit: Also the sky & sand start to balance everything out...which is good! |

Ha, Nos...Anyways, I think the sand looks sorta unrealisitc now. I dunno about how it seems much more jagged and hard than before. I think what you should do is just airbrush in some sand around the cow, make it look like the sand isnt concrete that its sitting on or something. Really, under the weight of the cow sitting there its legs should be halfway into the sand anyways. Id make the edge of the sand on the tv's less sharp too, maybe airbrush them a little more to look a little more believable.

I think im going to call this final. Its taking up a lot of time for a little progress lol. http://www.shiftstate.com/Projects/team/portraitstereo_fnl.jpg - levels adjustment - messed with the tv's - put a little sand around the rear leg (like he streched out a bit). Putting more around him just didnt look right. And suprisingly i actually found some "cow on beach" references. http://www.shiftstate.com/Projects/team/cow_sand.jpg |

It was a good project and it was fun to see it progress through the week. I really like the sand you added around the cow's leg, it's very realistic. But I still have a little suggestion. On your final image, the cow and the TV's have too much contrast over the sand and the rest of the illustration. You should lower it, because right now they don't fit with the contrast of the entire image. You should have kept the contrast of the cow and the tvs just like in the update before (http://www.shiftstate.com/Projects/team/portraitstereo_wip6.jpg) just a suggestion Good work |
