When I was visiting my mother a few weeks back I went down to a small harbour, nearby. I forgot to bring my own camera, so I used a real crappy one. A dirtcheap lifetec one or something, it was hard to get good shots with it. These are the three I sort of like.

Photo number one speaks for itself I think, the second one is a knot in a rope.
The last and third one is of a local, that lived just down the road from the harbour. I spoke to him for a while, he comes to the harbour every evening to just gaze of the water a bit. He was a fisherman for most of his life.

Oh and you can click the photos for a larger version.

Nice. I love shots 1 & 3. The camera don't seem all that bad. Is it a 1.3 megapixel or thereabouts? I notice the large image are 1280x960. That's the max my cheap little Olympus does too.

Nope... actually it was a 5 megapixel camera, but that wasn't what is wrong with it. You have to keep it SUPER still or the pics will be blurry, its rather slow. And most of the photos turn out either too bright or way too dark. You have to play with the settings each shot to get an ok-photo. But resolutionwise it's pretty good...

I actually love the knotted rope, how you can see every little fiber in the rope, good shots.
