These are my first attempts at stenciling: http://server5.uploadit.org/files/Density-Morrisonstencil.jpg http://server5.uploadit.org/files/Density-Hendrixstencil.jpg I've been having a tough time with eliminating the underspray, and was hoping maybe one of you could give me some ideas. I had read somewhere that tape would help hold it down, and I tried it on the Morrison stencil, but I still ended up with a good amount of underspray and bigh white squares where the tape was. I also tried rubber cementing them onto the page, but that turned out looking even worse. |

will it be easier to seperate the paper and stencil afterwards with spray adhesive than rubber cement? .. on both of mine the faces are very weakly attatched and I almost broke the morrison one trying to remove it from the paper.

Spray the stencil from around 1-2ft away so that it doesn't get too sticky. It has to be just enough so that it'll just grab the paper for a while. Plus it takes like 10-15 seconds to set so just pop the stencil on, spray it, and remove it (slowly). It also helps to use heavier paper. I used to cut stencils out of 50lb. sketch paper, but once I started to do more complicated designs I switched over to 80++.
