This was for a pixel war a while ago. The quality was ok for the war, but not enough for my site. Ive reworked it atleast twice since the war...and this is my third (final) time. changes: - new mini cam lense - BG blurred, colored and I reworked the lighting (more dramatic) - darkened the device (more of a black plastic texture)..... altered the highlights for better lighting - thumb tip added / thumbnail repainted - hand recolored (brown, then added yellow, and then purple) - hand desaturated a little -skin smoothed (low opacity median filter + mask) im trying to get a more AD look (like a hand model holding a real device...not a photomanip placed between my big fingers lol ) ~200k http://www.shiftstate.com/Projects/team/war_cleanup.jpg |

that has to be the ugliest phone I have ever seen. You did a nice job cleaning it up though.

Added new LCD screens same link as before http://www.shiftstate.com/Projects/team/war_cleanup.jpg Any opinions on the thumb??? Im not sure bout it.......i think i need more shading (so its holding it...not floating over it) edit:dumb question i guess. I went ahead and added more shading (4th image on the right). Looks alot better |

it looks much better, rodder. The thumb too... Maybe it should look a little pushed in, you know? the skin? The thumb is too flat where it grabs the device, it should be pushed in a little to make it more convincing... good job though! |

Thanks. I attempted to push in the thumb a little....im not sure how much difference it makes though (i'll look at it again later). The device is supposed to be fairly thin.....so its not a big dent. closeup - http://www.shiftstate.com/Projects/team/war_cleanup_thumb.jpg |

and here's the entire layout of the image. Its kinda hard to display a photomanip like this without some sort of description, so I tried to break it down into simple steps/images and cram that into a small space (so it fits on screen) I orig. had 2 pages worth of images & descriptions and i dont want 3 diff. pages to display 1 piece of work. I tried to keep everything quick, and the images just big enough to know whats going on. Also I used a dark gray BG to seperate the content areas to make it easier to read (less text contrast also). http://www.shiftstate.com/Projects/team/war_layout.jpg |

wow... when you put it that way it really shows the amount of work you actually did. I didnt really realize that the entire thing was basically made from scratch and a few referance images. Awesome rodder :D
