My Wallpaper

Hey guys! I just got Photoshop in the mail yesterday (I will be needing it for a class in college) I was so excited that I made this without the use of tutoritals or anything. Can you guys let me know what u think. Is it good for a beginner? Anyone have any suggestions for improving the text? It looks ok, but I think I could make it better.

I would say it is slightly over average for a beginner. He really passed alot of gas.

umm for improving the text, it looks like you used the paintbrush tool? and selected that brush? if thats what you did i would suggest using the Text tool, and picking a font that has the style your going for, that usually makes it look a little cleaner and better.

That was a font. I downloaded it, and it is called Artbrush. I then used a filter on it. I am reading some of ur tutoritals, and I hopefully make the text better.

I have been fiddling with Photoshop more and more and I am starting to get the hand of it. I made some changes to my 1st wall. Tell me what you think, and tell me whether the the first or second version is better.

The first one had way better text, simply because it was much more readable. The new one is blurry and has a bad choice of color combination. Better to be pragmatic with white than overcomplicated with crazy reds and greens meshing in ways that they shouldn't.
