I could update my flag sig to this : [IMG] [securl=http://www.shiftstate.com/Projects/team/flag_sig.jpg[/IMG]]http://www.shiftstate.com/Projects/team/flag_sig.jpg[/IMG][/securl] Or go with some variation of my flame idea. I like the bottom 2. http://www.shiftstate.com/Projects/team/flame_sigs.jpg any thoughts? I might have to do something else (or square atleast) because of the diff. skin colors. Otherwise half of you will be forced to look at a messed up sig (those who use air skin) Another idea ive had for a while. I need better animation (its just a test now) but maybe a fish tank [swf=http://www.shiftstate.com/Projects/team/fish_sig.swf width=212 heigth=32]_[/swf] |

Why don't you just make the background color of the sig the same color as fusion's post backcolor? I think a rectangular box of color would look better than fringes. I like sidez's idea also. |

Ive tried that and its ok....but its very dark (too much contrast with air). But i'll def. fix the fringe. I only left it like that to test it out...its only been up for like a day.

How about a PNG with alpha-transparency...? I know the browser issue, but shouldn't most people be able to see it?

Considering that "most people" use IE, and considering that IE is satan's whore as far as alpha transparency goes, that isn't the best choice.

png is an image type just like gif and jpg. It allows for pixels to be transparent, like a gif file, but with a gif file, each pixel is either transparent or opaque. With a png, each pixel can have a different level of transparency. this allows for the possibility of anti-aliasing your image so that the edges don't look pixellized. problem is that although programs like photoshop, flash, and web-compliant browsers allow for pngs to be displayed in the manner that they should, internet explorer likes to be a bitchwhore by filling in the transparent areas with blue or something. That sucks, because transparent pngs in my opinion would make webdesigning a lot easier. It's uber gay, but what can you do, I guess. |

I like the fish tank idea. Maybe if you had a load of fish all going in different directions/different speeds, if it is possible.(file size etc)
