now that I see it again, I noticed the reflection of the mountain is casting a shadown on the shore.

I really dislike the reflection of the mountain in the water somehow. The image is very much drawn and "tight" so the blurry refelction doesn't fit in at all IMO. Also the ducks are way to big and I think there should be no clouds over the "rainbow". To be honest, I don't like the grass and colorscheme either, while the position the animals are in (mostly right from the side) is not very realistic. I'm sorry, am usually a big fan of your work, but I also think that if an image is not that good it should be said, even to respected members. |

Thank for your comments guys. Redeye, not sure...but shouldn't there come a shadow on the beach? I mean even sand shows shadows. Geassel, hihi no problem! i like getting comments and critique. I didn't figure out another way to make the reflection of the mountain in the water, that was like the best I could do. The colorscheme, well I went trough all different colors there is and I just went like oh what the h... I'll stick with this one, none of them really pleased me somehow. The animals aren't real sizes, that's because the whole theme of the magazine and animals that you hunt. So I had to show more of the animals, otherwise it would just have been the landscape and nothing to do with the theme. The grass, well I know... it pretty much sucks :P The deadline is today so I had to come up with something, I would have wanted to make it in illustrator but I ran out of time and it would have taken ages. Thanks again for the comments people. |

Just get the mountain image rippled a bit and less blurred. Then get it near the same color as the water. Also, red-eye is right. The only way a shadow could be on the beach is if the sun would be shining from right behind the mountain, giving it an extremely long shadow. However, that way the animals and the trees should have giant shadows also. The way it looks right now it is impossible.
