panoramic pic...

shot by my dad on his canon powershot a75 and stitched together by me, originally 4 different shots. this is my folks' lakehouse on toledo bend (great fishing lake on the texas-louisiana border, texas side).

That hill really works well in a panorama! My eyes just slowly slide up and over. Good stitching too. The only problem is a few black pixels on the bottom in the center.

How big is the original?? I made one a while ago of a moutain range....maybe 5 photo's wide which measures 60 inches wide @150dpi. They get huge when you start stitching them. And im only using 2MP. Im sure your camera is higher.

thanks guys. lots of fish mihai, its one of the top fishing lakes in texas, they hold national tournaments and that sort of thing there. they don't have a boat yet but they do have a dock (where the stairs on the far left lead down to).

rodder, the drop off to the left is actually a lot steeper than it seems in this shot, it does work well tho. and i think the center thing is just where i cropped it not totally paying attention i got my dad to size down the original shots and send them to me at 800x600 (they don't have broadband) so its not too big, but the originals were shot at 3.2mp.

Chris: that's only about 6 1/2 hours from Memphis. I'll bring my boat down there for a long weekend. We'll drag your butt all over the resevoir in a tube...
