I am trying to blend two images that are side by side. I really would like to get one to overlap the other, with the 2nd picture underlapping the first. Is there a way to get a picture to fade in transperency from left to right (or right to left)? Not just a feather, or blur with the edges.

Well my best idea right now would be to put the image over the other... Then feather it and delete it part by part... Then making a new feather on the one above then lowering the opacity on the layer that the image is on... Maybe someone else has some better ideas? |

Layer masks are more effective but less user-friendly ...And usually the Feather selection/delete offers great results !
