I feel special. Anyway! This is a picture I did with a friend. She did the lines and the blobbed outline for the hair, and I did all the colors, hair, background, everything else, etc. ^_^ Comments are welcome! Eaden |

I am not of fan of this kind of colouring or art (although I admire the talent). Whatever the case, lose the background of clouds and levels to produce lightning and more clouds on top of that. |

Well honestly, the backround looks like a filter with some color levels adjusted, and the coloring is a little jagged on the arms and body. It could be smoother.

Agreed, drop the lightning. And again agreed, nice job on the hair! Wow! But I think you should do a cleaner job of cleaning out the inked copy of the picture. It's pretty jagged, like aruond the fingers. Another thing (though I understand that as the colorer and not the inker, this isn't your job) is that the right (her left) arm is totally not arm-like. The width of that arm is almost uniform from the shoulder all the way down to the wrist. If you look at your own arm, you see that it certainly isn't perfectly straight - It curves outwards from the shoulder, then back in for the elbow, then outwards and inwards again for the wrist. If ever there's a doubt about how a body part looks like, just study your own body. (You might find this ridiculous but it really helps!) But other than that, I think you did a good job with the coloring. BRAVO on the hair, bravo. The dress is pretty all right too. The skin coloring is fine too, I guess, but not around the hand - pretty monotonous coloring around the hand. other than that, good job. |

if u wanted to use lightning 1. the raised hand should be shaped in an other way 2. the best look for it either heading from the hand to the sky or reversing it 3. as it seems that u have made all of the image in coloring it wouldn't be that hard for u to make a good lightning effect , not using the clouds filter and overduing it then messing with levels , then saturation and finaly here we go :P it yucks lol change it ! as for the hair it works for me :p |

great work on the hair - that's talent! . .. and yeah, the arm is looking way to weird - but thats not your job, i know that. allthough i admire your work on the colouring, i simply can't resist commenting on the "the background was made from scratch"-part you wrote on deviant art.. Everyone that knows just a tad of photoshop, knows that it was not done by hand - and by saying that you did it from scratch, you make it sound pretty much like that's want you want poeple to believe. It's pure filter and levels - loose it, id' rather look at a subtle gradient. Welcome to the forum, i'm hoping to see more hair from you soon ^^ |
