Just starting/practicing altering photos with photoshop. Please comment, criticize and/or give advice, thanks! Aside from the obvious colour alterations, any additional modifications are listed below the pic, in case you didnt notice. (which i guess is a good thing?) they may take a while to load, under 200k, 1280x1024. http://gallery.cybertarp.com/albums/userpics/22579/glickoscope02.jpg Made eyes squint a little, raised and lowered eyebrows, bigger lips, smaller nose, reduced jawline. http://gallery.cybertarp.com/albums/userpics/22579/glickoscope01.jpg Bigger lips, smaller eyes, smaller nose. The latter two barely noticable. http://gallery.cybertarp.com/albums/userpics/22579/glickoscope03.jpg That was a tough one, im sure i could have done a better job but i was getting tired of looking at her! Just wanted to see what she would look like as a redhead. Because it looked so bad i decided to mess around with her face a little. Her eyes are a little bit smaller and closer together, her nose is smaller and thinner, her lips are bigger and jawline trimmed. Any tips on selecting hair and drastically changing its colour would be appreciated! http://gallery.cybertarp.com/albums/userpics/22579/glickoscope06.jpg Made the lips a lil bigger, eyes smaller, and jennifer lopez curves. Oh ya, and moved a finger :D I have a hard time blending layers ive created in which i alter contrast/color/saturation, usually i select the skin, hair, lips and eyes and make each its own layer (still cant do hair very well). I brighten the skin and lower contrast to get a fair smooth complextion. Mess around with the lips and eyes to make a happy medium of looking ok but unfortunately with a noticable difference in contrast compared to the skin. Im not sure where im going with this and i feel like im about to write a book. Id just like some help on making the images a little more real looking but keeping along the lines of the same colour scheme for lack of a better term. Please post any comment! |

I'll only say that it's bad etiquette to post such large images inline with your message. From now on, please provide links, and if you MUST post an image make them small (physical dimensions, and file-size) thumbnails that will link to larger versions if visitors here choose to go look at them. Consideration is the key. Not everyone has a broadband connection. |

If you want to select hair you have to zoom in as much as you can and use a brush in quick mask to select the hair. also using the channels to change the colour works the best. Just edit the channel that you can see the most hair on to keep it looking natural. Gotta metion the file sizes. Save a smaller version, pixels and resolution, of your origionals, cos if there only on the net it does not make much difference if they are full quality. |
