Kill the lens flare. There really isn't a light source in your layout that calls for one. Kill the white drop shadow. It makes it even harder to read an already-hard-to-read font. Try using an outer glow (lightly) instead if you are set on keeping that font. While you're fiddling with the text, try a chrome effect and see if that doesn't improve the feel of the cover. |

uhm you wanted comments...here comes some: As said lens flare ugh...when will people learn not to use it :P The city looks like a filter, which is never a good thing. Same goes with the text...Imo filters are like templates...they might be good to use before you actually learn how to do it yourself. When someone has a job for you, you shouldn't use filters because they can use filters - choose one and get the same "cool" effect. You can't really say that it's your work...back to imo filters are like templates. The text comes too much out...It doesn't blend in to the image at all. Make it one image...not the image and the text. What I would do...leave the mouth and the 2 guys...that's the 2 best things with this image...then try making something more your own style. Oh yes...about 90 hits and two comments...well do you know how many guests are checking this site right now...all their clicks count too...but they aren't able to comment on the image before they are signed up. That might explain the 90 hits... |
