Damn man you went to Hawaii and took those pics? I'm sorry but.... what the heck were you thinking? Where's the catamarans, where's the beach umbrellas, where's the volcanoes? the bananas, the coconut trees, the white sands and tourqoise waters, the chicks man - the chicks! where are they?
the beach balls, the ****tails with little umbrellas, the tan on the people's asses (female people prefferably)...the aerial shots with the islands....

What? did you spend 3 minutes there?
The palm tree one saves face a bit...but just a bit. ....buildings? where's the rattan bungalows man?

I'm sorry but such a wasted opportunity makes me lose my natural bonhumeur....

lol mihai.. in not so many words.. I'm forced to agree, aside from that one photo of the palm tree.. none of those photo's really say Hawaii to me.. for the most part they could be taken at any shore.

come on guys they cool pics, i know they not what you think of when yo say hawaii but they are nice, i like the palm tree and crab, he looks tasty. I dont understand why no lady pics man? were all those beautifull girls with their traditional clothes you should have took some of those

If you go there you should take at least 400 photos so that you have a lot of things to choose from...now all are pretty the same....
Okey Hawai 8 is pretty cool.
But that's not really Hawai...ish...
But still nice.
hawai 3 would have been pretty nice if the second palm tree wouldn't have been in the picture...It's never that nice you have a focus point and then some small things come in from the corner or something...
And the Chairs could have been really nice but now it's pretty dark and not as fresh as it could have been...
i'm not trying to put you down just telling you what I think about the photos...

Damn I really want to go to some place like that too and photograph...

Oh come on, why would he lie? Stop nagging him. I think they all turned out pretty good. The one with the leaf looking up, that was pretty decent.

Well im gonna try to answer all of the questions you all have...

im not sure if any of you that responded to this thread have been to Hawaii in the beggining of march. Sad to say it rained most of the time i was there, the first day and the last day were the only days that it was sunny. Hawaii 4 is shark infested waters, its a deep blue part of the pacific ocean. Also not too many students/young people travel during the school time, here in the U.S.A there was mostly white old tourist folks. I hope that answers your question mihai, oh yea and the volcanoes are located in the big island not oahu

Tv, and other sorts of media portrait Hawaii as the beautiful islands bla bla, yes they are, i happen to go to the island of Oahu, the part i went to was Waikiki, that is sort of like downtown LA, that island is now commercialized to the point that there is hotels on every corner. I never said i those are the only pics I took...as the matter of fact i took 224 pics, I just picked some random ones to show, the others i am putting on my portfolio then im going to show them, in the mean time im busy unpacking and have no time to put them up...


Well I hope I answered all of your comments and now you know that the islands Honolulu aren’t as they are advertised now in days, things have changed, people are making money out there, but this is not a discussion forum its a photography showcase I would have liked a response on the pictures. :D

I guess we were a bit harsh on you .. but as a far as the photographs go, I'm a big fan of the crab one! those claws look delicious! x), I've never even seen one of the small ones that we have here on the east coast :/ just whats left after the sea gulls are done with em :D

yes, as i remember the weather was actually quite harsh for hawaii...
in fact, it was probably the worst time to visit the islands, damn el nino. or whatever. la nina. who knows...

just to beat the dead horse a bit further...
diamond head is a (dormant) volcano...

of the shots u took, i suppose the crab was nice. although i'd imagine it was pretty small? i dunno... u should put up more photos...personally, i'd like more scenic shots, if u got any.

by the way you speak...."it rained the whole time..only first and last days were sunny..." I assume you stayed at least 3-4 days right? You took no trips outside of Oahu? Isn't there like a bus ..boat or something..cheapest way to move...? I mean go all the way to hawaii and stay in only one place...especially if it's raining....
No location is exactly as described in advertisment shots.... but without smoke there's no fire...there must be some places left to photograph...

as for your shots... sorry ...the exposure was not entirely fortunate for bad weather...as much as I can see. They are not bad pics. But that was the whole idea...they shouldn't have... they should have screamed "Hawaii" I dunno if I'm making myself clear...
