This is my first attempt at ever making a splash, how did it come out?

I want something classy to be a splash for my company site, I decided to make the splash, my staff is much better at that, so please do not say you should not be making websites if you cannot make a splash.

What do you think?

SPLASH

If I myself cannot make a good splash page then I might not have one, but I feel a splash is a good touch.

Well with even a small amount of doubt......why have one? Splash pages, unless absolutely necessary (that is they provide vital info for the coming pages) are somewhat unprofessional. All yours provides is your logo (which i hope can be seen on your main site) and the screen resolution.....which no one will switch to view your site. (especially not being of standard size).

As to the splash itself........the "best viewed" font is hard to read, some kerning would help. And...well its fairly simple. Remember............a splash is a visitors FIRST impression...do you really want just 3 motion blurs & a logo?? I mean it says more "tutorial" to me then "hey...we are the best designers out there. check us out".

Just my $.02.

also, I'd like to point out that that is a ridiculous resolution to set as your standard for viewing. you should try to be viewable at 640x480, but it's fine if you do 800x600... 1024x768 is the absolute maximum as a best resolution.

You have to put a space after the URL krane.

And Sexy is right, shouldn't exceed 1024, that is the maximum.

I took all of your suggestions into mind, I felt it sucked also.

I came up with a new splash that everybody I have shown likes a lot, so I am going to use it.

The new splash can be found here http://bio.fateback.com/index.php

Please don't comment on why it is in php, I will show you later.

I wanted to keep this second splash simple and to the point, what do you think?
