Oh thats not right! You should have done that to a pic of courtney love or anna nichole smith instead. As for texturing, not bad. A little more contrast would help. Reason being....think about texture. Its 3d...not 2d, meaning the texture is going to have highlights and shadows on its own (seperate from the object being textured). Take a crack in the mud for example...the opposite edge from the sun will have a highlight.....where as below it and the otherside will be in shadow. You can also paint the highlights/shadow by hand (i do, quite often actually) if you dont want to go the contrast route. As to lighting.....too dark. Your highlights have turned gray/green which gives it a flat look. My tip on lighting...... Pic an area that you want to alter the lighting (say you want to match the left side to the right sides light). Select the brightest/most saturated color from the right side (or where ever) paint it over the entire left side, then use screen or multiply (whether you want to brighten or darken) and adjust the opacity. As your adjusting the opacity........take your eyes out of focus....so you can only see the values and stop dragging the opacity slider when they match. I hope that makes sense (its early......i can explain more later if you need it). But overall.....not bad! Keep working. |
