I don't like how everything is so BIG... I think if you toned things down a little bit and maybe add some content and maybe just something else in the background... you'd be doing better...

one thing to remember about arrows - they point somewhere. The eye follows an arrow. when you see a bajillion arrows in a bajillion different directions, th eye gets confused as to where to look. although this is perfectly acceptable because it's frequently used in graffiti, the above is just food for thought |

yay, arrows! i love arrows. ok, you asked for it so here i go, it looks like you've started somehting that might end up looking very nice, but it's a long way from it. the entire thing seems a bit monotone. i'd say try placing a few textures here and there or maybe some various glows. or even try doing some glowy grunge which might work well with the urban look yet give it a future feel. the top area does seem a bit bulky which might irritate some people but seems almost ok for me. but, you should still try to work it out design wise. no what really bugs me is the lack of creativity on that bevel effect on all arrows. i know you can do more than just apply the same layer effect to all your components. try some blurrs, distortions, that type of thing. the navigation font is too generic and old fashioned and i don't like how the buttons are broken up into boxes. try giving them odd angles to go with the rest. i'm not sure what the content area will look like but right now it looks....empty. erase that big fat arrow on the bottom and move what's left up. it just puts too much weight onto the bottom of the layout. what happened to your last layout with the note pad and the marker? i liked that one more than this and you could have developed it further. |
