With this one : I have just been messing about with some cartoony sort of sketches.... and i had a look at some of the work Sekzy's been coming up with... and thought i would have a go at the whole.... illustration sort of thing... but this is done in photoshop :S go figure... hehe anyways Average Joe What D'ya think? Its all done with vector masks.... except for the ear.... and the mouth detail

that's actually pretty groovy. it's really kooky though. i'd say my favorite thing about it is the way the hair is done witht he black outline... like, up top. very cool :D except for the outline that is like really lacking in that gap in the hair on the top right... might wanna fill that in with mroe black outline. you did a really good job with the outlining of it i'd say. i really dig it. now how about some shading? |

Have you got any tips on shading? i mean.... could i just do it with brushes? or Vector layers at low opacity?

Use lighter/darker colors for tinting/shading.

hehe..... Thanks for the help guys He is so big because i wanted to make sure i had enough space to work with i like doing that... i can downsize him later.... but because of photoshops lack of Vector.... i cant upsize him |
