Hey fellaz this here is a catalog cover I am working on for my job. What i have here is merely a rough draft to point out the idea to my boss because she is very picky, oh yea the person that pays me is a FEMALE, lol but that’s another thread. Can you guys give me some ideas or suggestions on this...one question I have is that having two different kinds of fonts ok? And if the layer style looks good on this .... oh yah and it folds in the middle....Responses greatly appreciated... http://www.infamousonline.com/z/sping04.jpg |

Personally I think the font is too curly..it is kinda hard to read the smaller stuff...I would think if you wanted 2 different fonts they would somehow be able to looked kinda umm married?? does that make sense?

Something to be careful about if you decide to keep the script font: See how the letters have little "tails" on them, so they can visually hook together with the characters before and/or after? Make sure that you don't mess with the kerning too much so that those "tails" aren't lined up from one character to the next. If you need to fill space stretch them as a group and/or adjust the character's width percentage. ALWAYS make sure those character-connecting tails line up. |

Wheres the alignment? Everything is sort of just thrown there, as for the typeface, Its not very legible, I'm feeling a san-serif would work better. As for choice of imagery I hope the original is scanned in at 300dpi, please dont do this in photoshop use a layout program for setting your type. As for µ23, if the place you work at is pretty chill, I'll fly out and intern for my design program I'm in, pm ;) later, Michaelp |

As long as you'd heed my beck and call like that guy Cosmo Kramer hired for his Kramerica Corporation. I work out of my house, so it's as chill as I want it to be. Or as heated. Or as smoky. Or as loud or quiet or lazy or messy or neat as I want it to be. If you were a 23 year old beautiful, smart art chick, I might consider it. |
