This is for a school project and I am under a deadline. It needs to be done by thursday. I am not completely screwed, but I am not where I would like to be.

The project is to come up with a magazine cover for the now defunct magazine Omni. The theme or main article is called "Ghost in the Machine" it has to deal with cybernetics.

My original design pitch was to have a backround kind of like Bladerunner with a humanoid standing in the center who would be illuminated from within and you could see the machine under the human skin.

The problem is I was borrowing a digital camera, and I did not get the pictures taken off of it before the owner took it on vacation and they will not be back for 2 weeks. So I am screwed. I was supposed to have photos but now all I have is hand drawn stuff.

My solution was to stylize my hand drawn work (and to add in a real face) so that it does not necessairly look like its just hand drawn and not a photo. We were supposed to use a photo.

Here is my original man its not high enough quality to pass off as a finished product and time is ticking away and I still have other work to do.

This is my solution, I masked the layer with Clouds and then used the airbruh to cut out around the person/darken the edges. This was just a test run to see how it works.

My question is this, do you guys think that is captures the theme of the peice, and do you think it works. I have 3 other projects I need to have done by thursday, so time is running out. Any comments would be greatly appreciated unless of couse they are about embeding the pictures into the post... In that case you 56kers can die...

Oh ya, almost forgot.

Blue or red? Which one do you like.

If I go with blue I will match it to the blue color cast in the Omni logo.
