You can also use a white bedsheet, or some felt, etc. You can shine the light through a white shower curtain to diffuse the lighting so you don't have sharp glares on your stuff.
That and it'll provide your scene with white light...so you can avoid that dull yellow/orange tint thats pretty common with indoor photos (with white balance adjusted beforehand)
