Wow, work from me. I bet most of you thought I didn't design. Since there is no copyright issues, I thought I'd post the poster I'm working on. This is the pro-bono job I am working on right now. The type for the poster is unfinished and will be set in Indesign. It's just there for aesthetics right now. I'm debating about placing some text along the bottom. I still have a bit more information to place. This is going to be the general look though. If I were to ever do "grunge" this is how I go about it. Fairly clean. Any comments and criticism are welcomed. www.tdee.ca/RacePoster.jpg |

Thanks for the comments so far. Lazyroll - This is as "grungy" as I would ever get :D, thats why I said it. It definitely has no grunge style what so ever. Mihai - You're right, it would be too much like a movie poster. I feared this as well. Sometimes I have to really watch myself that I don't push an idea overboard. I like the clean space along the bottom, and I shall leave it. MichaelP - Although a big stretch from the typefaces I normally choose, I needed a bit of flare. I really don't have a good reason for the stencil. It just felt right. And considering it's a pro-bono piece, I will just go with it. :D Also, dont be fooled. This is a small jpeg. The text will all be larger in print. And it is aligned with the right column, above the logo. Supah - What fun is it just having people that know what they are talking about? :D For every comment this guy makes, you all look that much better. |
