After Effect buttons I made

can i ask why you used after effects instead of just flash? i can see how it'd be easier on the second one, not really on the first tho. how big are your swf files?

the first button is 230kb I can narrow it down to less then 100kb. The second button is 109kb. I used after effect cuz it takes alot of longer time to make that in flash, the first button took less then 30min to make. The second was the same. And i made it in After Effect because I want to get better at the program, alittle practice you know. :D

x_fusiun_x: Well I think many of you will be blown away by my new site because i came up with some great ideas for my buttons that have never been done before both my main nav button and my flash buttons. Im going to do some more on the site today, i expect to launch the site sometimes in mid febuary. :D

any more feedback?

gotcha, i'm learning after effects myself i definitely like the first more, the second is a cool effect but distracting. 100kb per button is HUGE tho, you're talking 500k or more just for a menu. seems a bit extreme imo.

neh mate the whole buttons are together 100kb. Yeah i know that the effect is distracting i just made that for fun. Im currently working on my new button and details to the site. I came up with an unique flash button and the main nav buttons. :D I have drawned my site into last detail on pice of paper, origional size and all. But last 2days i have kinda been sick of design cuz I sat 4days in a row with 10+hourse infront of the pc. I think i will have some inspiration to do some more **** today. :D im glad that you like the buttons.

ah, ok, much better :D can you give me a quick idea of how you animated the buttons in after effects? as i said just learning myself and trying to pick up some tricks, thanks.
