Its mihai's fault lol. To tell ya the truth.......i actually hate doing vector. Also I dont think illustrator is as strong as PS. I mean she's pretty pissy most of the time...kinda a pain to use in my opinion. But I did it anyway. stats: 80 layers 8 1/2 hours after about 2 hours into it....i stopped being accurate ( car wise and drawing..). The lines in the headlights are messed up....do to compression/anti-aliasing. And anyone ever try to make vector chrome?? gosh damn thats hard! 34 Ford Highboy Edit: Oh yeah.....and about 50% is from a photo reference. The rest....well i just went nuts and started adding stuff. |

That's one sweet car there Rodder454! Have you been using illustrator much? I don't see anything wrong with the car...the only thing I think maybe still could use some work is the shadow under the car... Love the reflectation (is that a word?) on the hood of the car. But one thing I don't understand...how are you able to find 8 ½ hour of free time on a friday? Work -> party leaves me 3 hours of spare time... :P Hope to see more of your illustrator work soon even though you hate it :P |

noooo! the attack of Comic Sans MS! *runs away* I absolutely hate that font. I wish it would die. About the car - amazing. The wheel on the front passenger side sticks out an awful lot, as does the headlight there. And the shadow beneath royally sucks. I love the rest though - excellent job! Just dont use that font... |

whoa - pimp car now I feel bad - I'll have to take up origami to stay ahead of you sweet as$ car. The shadow - yes could be better - illustrator is kinda a scratch and a half when you have to make feathered stuff - it only looks good if you work it a whole lot... My main concern though is the flame....I dunno - maybe it's the color - did you try red/yellow - or green - like they have on harleys... I am particularly fond of the inner side of the right wheel - it came out gorgeously - and I like for some reason the back of the car - the "boat" shaped buttocks My eyes are drawn to that spot.... Bummer about the nice thin lines - they look so good in ILL and so bad when scaled and compressed... what'll it be next? |

Ive used it for 4 years, but i dont use it "much" 9pm-5:30am on a thursday night. U aint got no competition here. Trust me. I only open the app maybe 10 times a year. I was born to work with pixels. About the flame......orig it was a bright red. But it looked like it floated above the reflection/highlights, so i turned it down to this purple color. though now it doesnt stick out as much.... |
