The bats are a little wierd looking, but I imagin it's hard to draw a bat that is really far away and still have it look like a bat.

Great sketch though, I love the angle.

You should try drawing some original stuff, I bet you'd be good at it.

that is a good start (your basic sketch).
have you ever noticed that simply being able to draw
does not make you an artist?
some people confir the title of "artist" on themselves,
others see it as some sort of unreachable state.

Your drawing could be more caricature-like, and distorted like acid.
The view-point could be lower, (from somewhere in or under the dashboard) to exaggerate their features, and you could make the bats so that they filled the sky behind the heads of Hunter S. and the other guy. This is one of those cases where you are going for Total Retinal Overload, and you don't want to just have a nice picture.

There is no reason for you to either agree or be offended.
This is just what I see.

That image reminds me of, and I quote, "this is bat-country!"

Great image, although a little rough. Try to clean it up a bit. It looks like a quick doodle.

The person who drew the original artwork for Fear & Loatin in Las Vegas was Ralph Steadman. His work was very edgy compaired to yours, and his characters were much much more distorted. Check out his website for motivation. His style is hard to copy.

thanks for the link. I like Steadman's style alot. You're right, very hard to copy. Maybe that's why he was so liberal about posting his slides online. Some artists get paranoid about that stuff.
