I really don't like all that wasted space on the sides.

And you could probably put a bit more color in it, but those are my only comments.

It's really a lot better than their **** now.

Yours, if you told me that 2A made it, I wouldn't be surprised. It just has that kind of style.

I wish you didnt have to use that logo. it ruins the design ;(
Not really. it's OK.

keep going with it.

I agree with more color. I know u r going for the hi-tech look...but it needs more to make it stand out. And u already have those colors....believe it or not. Im talking about the 3 most prominent colors in the jars, Orage, Green, and Purple. Those are excellent colors to blend in which would also create a realtionship between the chemicals and the interface......which in turn would really drive the purpose of the site home!!

Like take the red for example. Red and light gray work fine......but there is no history of red on the site. I dont associate that with anything else but the hi-tech look. Now u put in one of those 3 colors....and immediately i'll make the connection. Chances are most users would too. Basically....without know it....your spoon feeding the user the goal of the site.

Just my crazy color theory :D

thanks rodder, those are some good points. and telemakhos, i'm not quite sure what wasted space u're talking about. the site will be centered within the window and stretched on both sides.

lol I didnt read your post and just clicked the link and I thought it was just for fun - like some basement laboratory site with the vials of hazardous checmicals there .. oohhhh anyways ...

I think the gradients are too big. Make the buttons and news headers much smaller, and completely redo the "techmatic, inc." and slogan and logo. Im imagining it with smaller buttons, and no header text or logo and it looks AWESOME. So nice job - but there are a couple things you need to work on there.

I like the colors on the updated version, but the text is a little narrow.
