its ok, looks very tutorial based,
and where the "orb" meets up with the surrounding it dosent blend well, fix that,
you could also throw a logo into the orb unless the orb is your logo?

i also think u should have a pattern insted of just a dark purple, check out
www.squidfingers.com for nice free patterns
overall nothing really to crit on, fill it with content n come bak ;)

On the layout, looks like a good start. You could definatly use a good background, http://k10k.net/ has some very good ones. Keep working on it man.

Agreed, i think it needs more work before getting a critique. Go more in depth. but if you want to use that, i think make the metal look more metallic. the shape of your site is ok. I think it could be more interesting, but like it was said, this needs more time to work out.
