House of the people the thing is huge- it was built by our communist dictator - back when we were communists it is square - what you is seen in the pic is one side of the square the only other building bigger than it is the pentagon - you can see both from orbit - Our dictator was really a swell guy - more than 2000 people died building the damn thing. a few interesting facts: 2 whole marble quarries were depleted for it there are 2 tons of gold in ornaments there are 2 antiatomic bunkers below every single piece of furniture (1000 rooms - furnished) was made by hand by artisans same goes for carpets the thing has it's own post office they plan to make it a Casino - very american lol *edit= Oh I know - the great wall of china is bigger - but a hell of a lot thinner lol |

*checks communist game plan* Hmm, Mr Marx never mention gigantic statements of power in the manual. *checks again* Nice photo. Your sarcasm has me chuckling silently. Or is that just Pekka and his random gibberish? His damn window keeps blinking at me, make it stop, make it stop. *opens window* |

I missed that when I was in Romania, but as big as it is, you'd think I would have seen it!

I was there a long time ago. When I was like 13 or something. Went on a mission trip with my mom and stepdad. I don't think we even went to bucharest... Some really small town with dirt roads and 2 foot deep ruts in the road. And they had a clothespin factory.

That is awesome. You have got to go and shoot more things around Bucharest, it's just too awesome. Here, I live in a VILLAGE. Seriously. There are no buildings taller than two stories, at midnight... everything DIES. It's just too suburban for any good photos. |
