Can't figure out the 3D form of my object |

Hey I'm kind of a rookie around here and working on some smiley faces...I did all the work but cant figure out 3D form of my smiley face...Can somebody help me out or gimme some ideas? here is the smiley face jfyi... http://www.geocities.com/prudespecial/Smiley.jpg |

Hi and welcome to the forum (You can see the links to geocities by putting a space after the url and then pressing enter) You're on the right track with the 3d on that smiley. Try using more highlights and shadows. On the left site of the smiley you used the highlight right but on the right site there should be a shadow instead of a highlight. ...and make it go from the middle of the face around the right side down to the bottom :D That should do the trick... It might be a bit harder on the black headphones to do the shadows...well because it's allready black |

Remove the headphones (youll see why later) Well If you have maya convert the document to an EPS (Well should generally work on almost all 3D programs) Once Its eps, Place a sphere around the object (make sure to remove teh highlights first. Then Create a Sphere in the 3D program an image map this image on the Sphere. Then Use the Lighting Options to handle the 3D look to it. For The Headphones add them seperately as a 2D flat image. Or Do Nearly the Same method but generally just bevel with the proper curvatures should do the trick. |
