navbar

Just a navbar for my site, I havent created one in awhile. Do you like A or B better?
The idea is based off of a tutorials at Project09.com

Any c & c welcome, good or bad.

They look exactly the same to me.

The text is not easy to read, and definately should be, as the navigation is a key part of the site. [b[Key.[/b]

The grunge is OK, but could be better. It looks kinda flat. And almost too red. Tentacles are overdone on sites these days IMO. I'm glad that you varied from the base idea though - not just plain tentacles.

But I don't see any difference between A and B. ?

There's two 1px horizontal bars going across A.

Took me a minute to see the difference, I like the lines in A.

Same here, took awhile, but I do like the lines. Yeah the text is kinda hard to read.

Thank you for the replys. Yea I know the text is hard to read. I haven't fixed that because I haven't decided how I want to yet. Sorry for the confusion there is a color difference on my monitor with a & b(the one with the 2 1px lines the area outside of "machine in the making" is lighter but when I saved the image you cant tell.)

I have tried a few ways to bring depth to the blood layer. I've duplicated it and sent one to multiply, which IMO makes it more like blood and darkens it. And I've tried adding a drop shadow....didnt really like it. But thanks for the c&c, keep it coming. I'll upload a newer version tomorrow sometime, still working on it. Thanks again.

dont like them both the (wannebe) blood is strange but if i have to choose i say B

Ok here is an update. Disregard the text. I know its completely unreadable now but that was not my main concern, I'll redue the text at a later date. I just wanted the blood to seem more realistic. Any c&c welcome. If you don't like something tell me why so i can understand. If you tell me you like it tell what you like about it and why. Thanks again.

personally I find those 1 px horizontal lines misplaced, but I like the way the blood is shining on the tentacles.

And the blood looks way better now.
