Odd Ok so this graphic was originally used for news headlines for my site. Well I found another way to present the news on my site......so this graphic is left with no purpose/good use. But the problem is this graphic is a vital (!!!) part of my site. I can't really get rid of it.....without causing a massive headache design wise. So im looking for ideas/suggestions on "uses" for it. It's a very strange shape/size.......so putting it to work is quite hard. Im thinking right now i could use it to display 1 news headline, the date when i last updated my site.....and maybe a description/link of a current project i might be working on. Some of my others ideas include creating a "quick link" drop down menu in it.....or displaying the amount of users/hits/stats etc about my site. Any suggestion is appreciated!! Also the reason im not showing the site (to go along with the box) is 1) i dont wanna upload :-P and 2) i think the suggestions will be more original without seeing the context |

I don't see any oblong. It's a rectangle. And I think we have to see the site before making any real comments about what you could put in it. You could put anything in it, really. Either that or I don't understand the question. tom |

thnx. I messed with it for a while (couple hours lol) and actually made something good out of it. I split that box into 4 sections..and it turns out each section is perfect size for arial 10pt text (before i split it.........10 pt looked horrible......there was too much white space..the text wouldnt center properly... etc)

actually...i can :-P. Normally i wouldnt though...i usually leave stuff for about 2 months. But for this specific time.......i removed it cause 1) I solved my prob (as stated as above) 2) I only posted a white rectangle with a 2 px gray border (yeah...that was it!!!) 3) lack of suggestions 4) in total no one either than myself could find any benifits from this thread 5) it would be deleted soon anyhow. |
