The fall leaves wont last long so I broke out the camera. Also it snowed last night....and it has never snowed this early so i had to get some photos of the snow on the leaves. Plus i havnt posted in this section for a long time lol The last 3.....i brought the leaves indoors and did a little 3 point lighting/studio kinda thing....just for a different effect. ***Warning. Large ~600k**** Portraits of the Season (forgive the heavy watermarking) |

Hey Rodder, Those are nice pics. How'd you get the 3 point lighting in there? How do you set it up exactly? And do you use a flash on it as well? Great pics man. |

I take credit cards :-P. Yeah I know its annoying..but its just my personal/paranoid nature lol. I used 3 stretchable desk lamps. One I placed infront (about a 55 degree angle) and to the left. A second lamp (dimmer...roughly 1/2-3/4 of the first) i placed infront (about a 25 degree angle..[below the first]) to the right...then then 3rd (3/4 dimmer than the first) i placed behind....opposite the angle of the first lamp on the left. It wasnt exact science ( i dont have "equipment" ) so i used flash also...which i set to an intensity of -2.0 on my camera...that way the flash wouldnt wash out the picture...yet the lighting got a little "boost". The leaves were set on a piece of 19x24 Bristol board (vellum finish..its smooth reflects light well) and i bent the board up...so it created a curved background (no folds). |

Rodder, Thanks for the tips, I think I'm going to give it shot and play with the lighting. Those are great pics. |
