Not bad. I also wish some of the shortcuts were the same. It's a pain to do all of that clicking. I tryed Illustrator also awhile back but I couldn't figure it out and when I had Illustrator launched and I tryed to launch photoshop at the same time illustrator would crash so I had to get rid of it.

It's a little rough around the edges, that of course may have been the look that you were punting for. More accurately the highlights have a deckled effect, giving an almost hand drawn randomness to them, in a way it's nice, it reminds me of a screen print. The back wheel is a little shoddy though, even in comparison to the front one. I think I would be tempted to lower the opacity/change the colour of the shadow to a 50% or 75% grey also. Still, really nice work and especially since it's your first attempt. |

I had the exact same problem. For some reason - if illustrator is installed after photoshop it does something bad - you have to un-install photoshop and then install it again - then it woks fine.... thanks for the nice words guys. the hermit: yeah the rough look was what I intended - I meant it to appear as if a kid had drawn it with watercolors. that's why the wheels are shoddy - I remember as a kid I could never draw circles and the shadow - uhh - you're right - I meant to do that from the beginning but the wheels don't go all the way into the body of the bus - it's just a big splotch of black (shadow and wheels) - If I lower the opacity of the shadow the wheels will look grey too I'm lazy |
