the bar I used to frequent, designed numerous posters and flyers for, and dj'ed at 2 times a month is closing down because the owner and the brewery have got a dispute they can't resolve. Lots of "alternative"-oriented people are out in the cold, looking for a new place to meet. This should be the last poster: why? in the upper part you see people partying, like they should in the last weekend, in the part below there's a faint notion of what once was.. the "paint"-effect is sort of a reference to the opening credits of "cheers" |

sorry to hear about the bar... it's a nice poster - a bit fuzzy but I guess that's from the jpg compression... |

I dont think you need the "the end" text. When people see an ad that good, they'll see the text at the bottom. The logo at the top should be sufficient, I think. And if you do want "the end" then don't put it on either side of the logo. Just my opinion, though. tom |

Thanx tom. Alas, I just printed it 6 times... about your remarks: I've been thinking that myself, but the logo had to be in the middle, cause the tall guy is holding it. And "The End" left or right from it, didn't quite look so good. If it was necessary ? maybe not, it just adds a dramatic tone. The "centered" layout is a bit dull maybe, but the best option I guessed. And I think the very loose content makes up for it. |

No I like the centered thing but not every poster needs a title at the top. If it's striking enough (this is - the logo and the dancers - the overall atmosphere), then text can go at the bottom and people will look at it. But it still looks good - have fun at the weekend-long closing party. :D :( tom |

I see your point, and you're right. Not every poster needs a title.
