I'm entering an exhibition, they're sending out postcards with one work of each artist for promotion of the exhibition. I made a new one, especially for the postcard. edited: http://www.fuguforce.com/pub/web_compo03.jpg comments ? |

ok honestly man.. this is what i think about it.. first lets start with this.. i hate how forums rarely give u actual a good response with some constructive critism etc.. Yeah some people do but nah most are just post whores. I dont have many friends since i moved and when i make a graphic.. I like people to talk about it.. not just laugh it off.. I like it to feel like im doing good or somewhat bad.. anyways I think what you got going works.. But this is what u need to do in my opinion... The streams of water need to be changed.. they do not at all make the fish seemed propeled into the air.. Thicken them up and make them come more from their tails. and the fish are to high in the air its not realistic.. Seriously though overall You got it all going for ya. You have an awesome piece of art at your finger tips.. Notice the fish how u performed that Hue/saturation color change on them. They do not fit into the picture. If you want to go for a more artistic look i would change the color of some of the things in the back ground.. Water,. etc ... You already did it to the Sky which looks awesome and the fish.. its the rest that doesnt fit in. Keep up the good work. man. And ill keep lookin' at it. Peace out. |

thanks xero, I understand your concern, but I don't really mind the funny replies.. in fact I like them. In this case, there's nothing I'm bothered with, but I can imagine when you're looking for serioues help or tips, these funny replies don't help you at all.. about the work: I thought it was pretty clear that realism was the last thing I was looking for. At first I wanted just to let the fish fly upside down, then came the idea to let them 'kiss' and that the love was so great they would jump unimagineable hight. fact 2. if realism was the aim, then the fish would've been a lot smaller (compared to tower) I appreciate the comments, cause about the waterstreams are not perfect. In the edited one (see first post in thread) I've changed it a bit, but it's not perfect My idea was, that they surf on those streams, so they cannot come out of their tails.. And you're right, it's fun to discuss works, the options, the meaning etc.. |

Ok, I'm sorry if my "funny" remark did offend anyone, but I think most of the people who's been here for a while understands the "not intentional harm" in them, eh ? And I did actually comment on the piece, however disquised as a "f-remark" (wow, a new word), within my own grasp of art-judgement.... I did like it, but couldn't say much more, due to my lacking knowledge of art it self... - "Then don't post at all", some would say. - "Ok, why not ?" I say. - "I gave Tom my humble opinion spiced with a li'l fun, what's the harm in that ?" Besides Xero, I doubt you'll find a more giving community, in all meanings, out there. I honestly don't think you can say this... ...about TeamPS. 'Coz that's the reason most of us are here in the first place, atleast myself. This is the only place where one actually get help, and that within hours most of the time...Name one community where you get that. With no bad intentions - Patric. |

Patteman, I agree. Given the amount of replies on most topics, don't find any postwhores here. And although I appreciate a funded reply, I like some funny remarks as well (and as stated, they mostly come from here, last time it was something about 'pili'(projectname on poster) meant 'penis' in finnish or something) haha |
