I did the basic stuff and I think that looks OK but then I went to add an airfoil thing to the back. (Don't laugh - I have no idea what its called.) It looks OK I guess but not wonderful - maybe I should have used a reference pic so I could tell what its supposed to look like. Can I get some help from some of you? I'd like to learn to do some cool car mods. Give me lots of C&C so I can make this one really good. http://trhaynes.ionichost.com/stuff/bmwcarmod.html I expect to see a lot from Paavo. It's all on different layers so if theres one thing you dont like I can redo that and just that - if it all need redoing then I'll do that. Thanks. tom *edit* Also I need some ideas on what else to modify. Man I'm greedy, huh? :D |

you talking about a spoiler? :D I think it looks very decent, especially for a first try at this silly stuff. You should also try lowering it, it's easy and effective. Not really that much to critique... Just keep at it. ^__^ |

well the first thing i noticed was that you named it 'bmwcarmod' when it's actually a mercedes benz ;) if you look down at where you extended the door, the lines don't match up in some places. the spoiler actually looks fine. you don't really have cause for concern in that area. the rims are just ugly. maybe turn down the contrast and saturation on them. but nothing is gonna make the pattern any better :p other than that everything else you changed came out good. it's a lot better than some of the first chops i've seen ;) ps you might want to find bigger and clearer pictures as they are much easier to work with. |

The photo is 1800x1200 and I took it myself so there's nothing I can do about the clarity. I just scaled it down for in-progress pics. The rims - they looked good by themselves but not on this car, I guess. Where do you guys get good rims? And is it OK that they're from perrpendicular to the wheel and I'm not putting them on at more of an angle? The spoiler (now I sound like a pro) - it actually looks good? Wow - I didn't really think so - but since I faked it, it looks faked to me. I guess thats what it is at least. Lowering - I thought I did that but maybe not enough to make any difference? Anything else - what else can I do to it? I need some ideas. Thanks for your crits so far. tom |

lol the rims look like it came out of my pontiac grand am (laughing hard) otherwise it looks pretty good, the spoiler thing I don't know if it looked like a spoiler but everything else was pretty good maybe erase the doorhandles as well? And maybe lower the front wheels even more. By the way the sideskirt looks weird did you change it? Overall maybe it was just not in a good angle. cheers |

Changed from 4-door to 2-door. Lengthened door. Lowered a little but not enough I guess. I think it looks stupid when its on top of the wheel though - its not natural. I'm gonna do more - maybe with some color, etc. I'll post again when its changed more - I just needed some in-progress help. Thanks guys. tom PS. Q. Why do chicken coops always have 2 doors? A. Because if it had 4, it would be a chicken sedan. (coop/coupe - get it?) |

use bigger rims and lower profile tires and that'll solve that 'unnatural' look |
