Hey there, I'm about to embark on my long long journey towards being able to draw realistic figures (such as people), and decided to start out with some very basic perspective shading. As you can see, this is just a pretty simple pill shape that I tried to add some depth to. Just wondering about any pointers you could give me. Hope this file isn't too big or anything but if it is I'll take it down. |

What techniques did you use to shade that?

what kind of light was that exactly? in the middle of the entity there is a light patch and its in the shape of a rectangle? was just wondereing if it was supposed to be like a desk lamp that is rectangular? if no i would suggest staying away from hard lines that can be distinguished as straight. I like the simple little pick though

Grab a pill (or another object), set up some lighting and study; it's the best possible way.
