Have you seen the menu called filter?? just kidding.. theese images are cool considering youre new to Photoshop.. And its good youre playing around, learning the filters and what they do.. It takes time learning photoshop and when you begin to feel you are able to control the filters, stop using themm (almost) Filters arent 'digital art' .. meaning you cant create a image consisting of ONLY filters.. you have to put work and a meaning into the image as well.. But as i said, its good youre learning the basics of photoshop, keep doing that!! Its just a little advice for your future i guess keep at it.. good work EDIT.. welcome to the board |

not bad, not bad...although as casual said, they are very filter-heavy, they DO look very artistic. They look like high quality abstract paintings. theres no problem if thats your style, instead of applying filters, try and paint the exact same thing in photoshop by hand rather than use filters. then its genuine art. welcome!

yeah okay.. i meant the same as atdot.. if you do something like this on your own its somewhat of another thing to talk about.. the image is still the same but there more work and you kindda knew what you were doing.. doing it all by filters is just.. not any good imo |

For a newb they are ok. Once you get more advanced you will use filters less and less and your final product will look more professional. Keep it up!

Liam...heres your assignment. Take the colour-wash filter-rama-ized picture you posted above and recreate it entirely using the paintbrush in Photoshop. No filters, only the painbrush tool. Try and get it exactly like the one you posted above. You can even trace over the one above, just paint it with the paintbrush. When you finish that, post it in here. Sound cool? It will teach you to use Photoshop the way it is intended to. Okay then, well we look foward to seeing it.
