OOOooo.......controversy on a forum? Thats a neat idea. Let me write that one down for later! lol just being stupid :-). As to the wallpaper...as a "piece of artwork" its ok. First try...not bad. As a "wallpaper"....not good. Keeping in mind icons & windows need to be seen clearly (they cant blend in or be over taken by a wallpaper). Also (this tip goes out to all newbs!!!) not everything HAS to be a wallpaper. Just make art ...different shapes...different sizes. It doesnt have to have a specific use (ex: wallpaper) Personally i hate wallpapers. I use windows standard green BG (i find it calming lol). |

youll find that the comments givin arent always necessarily compliments because how are you gonna get better if everyone says.."wow that great! keep it up!" which i have seen on some terrible pieces...some people will get straight to the point and tell u your missing a pixel at the top right corner where noone looks, but youll find that in the real designing world people arent going to be gentle and say that youll get it better next time. there gonna get on your ass (pardon my french) for every little thing you do. my personal thought on the wallpaper... It definantly wouldnt be good for your health to have something that colorful as a wall paper. art work yes it would qualify .. does it need some work? definantly. the black and white at the bottomreally doesnt mix with the rest of the wallpaper. you call it "blackout" but there isnt much sign of a blackout at all... if you plan on using a theme stick with the theme. keep on working with it though you will catch on . try out the tutorials on this site and youll see your abilities grow rapidly |
